Piran to Umag

Amazing breakfast

smoked salmon, walnut bread honey eggs, ect…

Rode along the Adriatic beautiful still really wide.

Met a couple France and Germany who were traveling to China. They were lovely to talk to.

Crossed the boarder into Croatia. Stopped to get our passports stamped.

Trail turned to gravel once we crossed into Croatia

Saw salt farms down on the sea stopped for pb &J sandwiches at lookout point.

Saw other mountain bikes.

Climbed hills rode down one very long hill.

Olive trees, vineyards, orchards.

Before we left Brian we tried to climb the tower but it was closed.

It was very windy at the top of the hill. He grass was blowing down flat and we had to be careful walking down stairs because your foot would get blown out from under you as you tried to put it down.

Village market day with fruit stands.

We rode through a lot of campgrounds because the bike path took us through them.

Most of the tourists are gone.

Came into Umag and stopped in the church, quiet simple church but it looks like it is used.

Rode around trying to find our room

Saw a room with the right address and key in the door so we went in and I took shower. While I was showering Ian finally located the host and found out we were in the wrong room.

The host said not to worry the couple coming could stay in our room tonight then either stay in the room or use this one tomorrow.

The town had a clock tower, which was “open” the lock was not fastened correctly so we climbed the tower. It wa dry and very sketchy but we climbed to the top and saw the bells. Coming down was scary and there were not proper handrails or stairs.

Kids are playing soccer its eh town square.

Found a restaurant and had dinner lots of meat food was ok.

Walked around the square and town to watched the sunset. Was very beautiful.

As a kid I had a dream — I wanted to own my own bicycle. When I got the bike I must have been the happiest boy in Liverpool, maybe the world. I lived for that bike. Most kids left their bike in the backyard at night. Not me. I insisted on taking mine indoors and the first night I even kept it in my bed.John Lenon
