Arrochar to Tyndrum

We left Arrochar early to try and beat the rain. Riding along Loch Lomond it poured with rain. Big drops of full torrent of rain. But our rain gear was great and kept us dry. The scenery was stunning then we reached the mouth of Glen Coe. We stayed at a hotel that had a “drying room” which after riding in the rain for a day was the most marvelous thing we had seen. It was a tiled room with places to hang your gear and dry your shoes and at night they turned on the heat so by the morning everything was toasty and dry. We rode over to the fish and chip play and also had some yummy dairy free cake. We checked out the Green Wellington and then checked into our room. We took a long hot bath and relaxed. It was a short riding day but it let us catch up with things and do laundry and chill for a while.

Drying Room

This was a nice easy ride, even though it was mostly climbing. We kept the day short because of rain, and also we are a bit head of schedule and don’t want to get to John O’Groats too early.

Tyndrum Lodges had a drying room. Fantastic. Never heard of these, but fairly common in these parts of Scotland.

Nice place to eat nearby
