Glenfinnan Viaduct & Harry Potter Train

We woke to a superb breakfast at the BnB of portage w/whiskey and honey and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The we rode the bikes down to the train station to see the Jacobite aka the Hogwarts Express. The train was sold out and did not have room for the bikes  so we took pictures and watched it take off down the tracks. We then rode into town and visited the church in Fort William with had a lovely wood ceiling with painted beams and alter. We went back to the train station and caught the regular train with our bikes and rode to the via duct and sat on the hill with a lot of other people to watch the Jacobite (Hogwarts Express) go over the via duct. We had lovely chats with the other people  and got some great shots of the train. After the train left we rode our bikes back to Fort William and checked into a lovely hotel at Fort William. The porter insisted in caring our bike up the stairs to store them somewhere not quite sure where but they were brought back down to us the next morning. We had a lovely large room and enjoyed having a nice rest after a pleasant  day.

Nice ride back to Fort William, until you get close to town (like always)

Excellent B&B (Marc is a chef, wife managed hotels, they have 2 year old daughter, own’s a racing Mini, food was good, room was great, excellent experience, really nice guy, reminded me of Thomas Dean.

Next night in Fort William, stayed at Alexandra. Excellent room. Porters carried our bike upstairs to a storage room. The next day I helped bring them back down.
